Jessica and Josh had a second reception here in Draper Friday night and all the family got to come. It was the highlight of the week. Everyone was so excited to see Jessica in her princess dress. We danced and laughed and had a great time. Jonathan and the boys headed out early to Fathers and sons and we hung out as girls, and Cannon, one more year and he will get to go too.

Saturday we spent another long day working at the garage sale for the Dyslexia Center and working in our yard. It is coming along great. This Friday we are hosting neighbors so it is a good goal to work towards. Cannon got new Hawaiian clothes for his birthday from his Grandma Brinley. What a stud man!

Pictures top to bottom: Katy and I had the great blesssing of flying to Arizona for my niece Jessica's wedding. It was a perfect 48 hours and so fun to be a part of something so beautiful and right. I was able to make the cake and had a fun time doing it. Katy loved flying and I loved having her with me. We went down and Thurs. and drove back with my parents Sat. It was a short trip but so worth it.

The boys were apart of the annual Hope of America 5th grade celebration in the Marriot Center. They loved learning and performing all the music and really feel a lot of pride for this great nation. They are always so thankful for the soldiers and those who fight to keep us free. It was a fun night.

My baby turned 2! Where does time go. It was a bitter sweet day seeing how big our little boy has grown and get so sad to think I no longer have a baby but a toddler. All I ever wanted to do was to have babies and it is hard to think that chapter of my life is coming to a close. On the other hand, what great adventures await; to be diaper, sippy cup, and car-seat free! It was a gorgeous weekend with lots of warm sunshine and time to spend outside working on our yard. We found a great slide for our swing set on KSL Classifieds for $20. We gave it to Cannon for his birthday. He flies down it with great delight. Jonathan got the garden all ready for me to plant. Katy helped me and we got strawberries, raspberries, carrots, onions, watermelon, cantelope, beans, cucumbers and zuchini planted. There is still room for tomatoes and pumpkins. We'll see how they grow. It is a faith promoting experience to place tiny seeds in the ground, water them daily, and see little plants grow in our horrible clay. I am relying heavily on Alma 34:24. We had all the neighbors over for a BBQ in the evening. We had about 18 kids here and 2 other couples, it was great! Cannon blew out his candles on the first try. He tried in the morning on candles in his pancakes and ended up leaning in too close and feeling the heat on his lips. I think he wanted to make sure he got it on the first try this time.

katy has had her play all week and has done a great job. She smiled her little heart out and the show was really well done. The costumes all looked great and it was fun for our family to go see her in it. It was a good pay off for the hours of practice she has put in to it. It will be super nice to have her home at 3pm again.

May 1st! yeah! I am so ready for spring. Thanks to Jonathan's amazing handyman talents our garden is ready to plant. Hopefully things will warm up this week and we can get some seeds in the ground. We are all excited to be in the last month of school. We have a chain counting down to our Hawaii trip and it is the topic of lots of dinner conversations. We are all very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa again. I helped out with the Dyslexia Center of Utah fundraiser garage sale this week. We raised over a thousand dollars which was great considering the day started out with snow. We thankfully were able to use a large warehouse garage so we could keep things covered. It was several hours of work to organize and price everything but many hands made light work. The best part was I bought a tree for our entry way shelf for Christmas I have been looking for for 3 years. It was a nice little pay off.

The kids are healthy and happy and I am so thankful. I had a melt down mid week due to my lack of parenting skills but through I found a greater love for my family and a closeness to the Savior. I am thankful he lets us fall on our face again just so when we look up we can see His more cleearly. I am thankful for tears. Some times it is so theraputic just to cry.

I had camp kick off this week and realy felt the Lord's help in preparing for it. The girls responded well to the challenges we gave them in preparing for camp and I am excited for the upcoming weeks. We are going to walk to the Timp. Temple on May 25 as a YW group. I am excited to push ourselves physically to recieve spiritual strength. I think it will be a great activity.
