who knew a day home with pink eye and homemade finger paints could be so fun!

Watch out Hawaii, here we come!

We just said goodbye to our Klundt cousins (Jonathan's sister Becky's family). We love that they come and have Sunday dinner once a month with us. Tonight's theme was Asian food. We made sushi, stir fry, rice balls, and chicken. We even ate with chopsticks and had fortune cookies. Thanks Aunt Beck for all the fun things you brought.

Spring is here and the kids finally had some good play time outside this week. Cannon can't stand to be inside now that he knows how fun our back yard and trampoline are. He has been really sick the past 3 days with a virus and high fever. He slept most of the weekend and sure was fun to snuggle because he would hold still. Not fun to see him sick though. We pray it doesn't move through the family. We had a busy weekend. Hunter and Jacob participated in the knowledge bowl with their school. They have been practicing for it every week after school for the past couple of months. There was so much info to learn and it was very overwhelming but they stuck with it which I was so proud of them for. Their team didn't win any matches but they gave it a great effort. Next year we will start studying a lot early and use a lot more multi scensory techniques. The girls and I all went to Jessica's bridal shower on Sat. at my mom's. The food and company were great. Then today we went to Austin's farewell talk in his ward. It was fun to hear him talk and he seemed so grown up and ready for this next step. We have lots of friends from our West Jordan days that moved into that ward and it was really fun to see and catch up with them. I finally got the pictures downloaded from the last 3 weeks so hope you enjoy!

We've had another week of pink eye but are all on the up and up. I had a great time at the LDAU conference helping with our Dyslexia booth and the silent auction. It was a good reminder of where our boys started and how far they have come and all the potential they have.

We had a great dinner tonight with Jessica and Josh and Taylor. The kids all loved getting to know Josh. He made them each feel so loved and important. We are going to love having him apart of our family. Jessica seems so happy which makes all of us happy. We talked about me doing her cake for her wedding which I am really excited about. I hope I can get a plane ticket and pull it off. Thank goodness she has simple tastes.
